After 2 years of negotiations with the Chinese Government, DPD and Orlando’s Maury Carter & Associates (MLC) assembled a team to acquire the 366 acre Splendid China Theme Park adjacent to Walt Disney World. Closing in 2005, DPD and MLC modified 2 separate DRI’s for land use and density changes while engineering and marketing a Target anchored shopping center. The investment team was able to successfully exit the entire asset in less than 2 years.
